Loving God, loving people

Kathy Williamson - our Pastor

I left a career in the civil service to become a Baptist minister and was pastor for over ten years at Kingsbury Free Church (Baptist) in North West London. After a brief period of retirement, I joined the church family at Howlands as part-time pastor in November 2018. If you would like to meet with me, for any reason whatsoever, please email me at howlandspastor@gmail.com

Hi, my name is Fang. I have been at Howlands with my five-year old son, Ian, since August 2014. I am one of the Deacons in the church and enjoy teaching Sunday School. We love Howlands as you can always be yourself in the church. I work as a Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire.

My name is Elaine and I am originally from Ghana.

I have been attending Howlands with my family since 2013. I am one of the Deacons and Junior Church Leaders. Also a wife, mum of two girls and work full time in the Pharmaceutical Industry!

Worshipping here has been a blessing. There is a great sense of unity, love, diversity and inclusion in the church with sermons that encourage faith as a believer, following Jesus' example and the presence of the Holy Spirit. This inspires me, as part of a church family, where I can always partake freely in God's presence.

My name is Ruth and I have enjoyed being part of this church for 17 years. I'm one of the Deacons. Howlands is a place where everyone receives a warm welcome and is encouraged to find out more about the Christian faith.

Hi I'm Claire and I'm a deacon at Howlands. I've come to this church since I was a baby so I know it well! Howlands is a welcoming, loving and diverse family of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and ethnicities. I work as a biomedical scientist at Watford Hospital and enjoy life with my church family.

Hi, my name is Stuart Soper, I am a Deacon here at Howlands, and have been attending this church for seven years. I was drawn to this church by the welcome and warmth I initially received from everyone when I made my first visit on a stop over whilst travelling around the U.K. I am pleased to say that warmth, along with unity and Christian love has continued to this date. I am the Father of Richard and Nicola who are all grown up. I was a Petty Officer(MW) in the Royal Navy, a Community Regeneration Manager and am now in my retirement an author and illustrator.

Annalisa is our part-time church administrator. She attends church with her young family and has lived locally for eight years. She previously served as a Deacon at church and as a Borough Councillor for the ward of Howlands. You can contact her on howlandsbc@yahoo.com
